Our Gear Capabilities
With the capability of handling gear precision of up to AGMA 8 or DIN 8, Kore Industries is producing gears for gearboxes in industries such as electric cars, e-drives, consumer electronics, medical devices, robots and industrial products.
Most frequently, our Gear Engineering Team work closely with customers at the pre-production stage to discuss design, identify problems and brainstorm with them to ensure risk at mold production stages are kept to a minimum.
Our Design Engineering Team also work closely with our customers to do the appropriate DFM and mold-flow analysis prior to build, to ensure the highest standards and delivery.
Our Gear Quality Control
Our gears pass through stringent gear inspections and procedures. From checking the profile of our gear electrodes, we also ensure that the gear molds are built to specification.
Our products are checked with our OSAKA Double-Flank Gear Roll Tester to validate teeth-to-teeth tolerances as well as radial concentricity.
We also look into common issues that our customers face, such as:

What Are Plastic Gears?
Plastic gears are a specialized component that are typically found and used in machinery. These small or large components often vary in size, and are typically found in the shape of a cone or a cylinder. These pieces are designed with equally-spaced teeth that are cut into the surface, so that when two plastic gears are meshed together, they facilitate force, rotations, and resistance from the shaft that drives them, to the shaft that is being driven.
Gears allow for the movement of multiple shafts in a single, continuous motion by transferring movement from one to another. At Kore Industries, plastic gears are a major aspect of what we do. What Are Plastic Gear Molds?
In order to manufacture plastic gears, we use a molding process – similar to that of our other molding processes. Our process begins with a plastic injection mold that features gear cavities. From there, we use molten plastic to create the gear. Once the molten plastic is poured into our mold and cools, we are left with a solid gear component that is ready for production use and application.
